Attempting this surprised me, because the one thing about Paul Cezanne's work that draws me to him, is his use of colour!  I did this, however, as part of a still-life/tonal exercise for my year 9 students at Mercy College, using far bolder lines (e.g.; in the table cloth) that I ordinarily wouldn't use.
